Sweater knitting pattern (from FUNNY JACQUARD yarn)

SIMPLE SWEATER FROM FUNNY JACQUARD (WITHOUT BUTTONHOLES)/The color is 303.

SIZES: a) -2 years b) 4- years c) 6 years

YARN REQUIREMENT: a) 1 b) 1 c) 1 color 303

KNITTING NEEDLES: 3mm and 3.5mm (US 3&4)

GAUGE: 23 stitches x 40 rows (4mm)

BACK

With 3.5mm needles cast on a) 76 b) 82 c) 90 stitches. Work in 2x 2 ribbing. When the back measures 4cm from the cast-on edge, continue working in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side).

Shoulders: When the back measures a) 32.5 cm, b) 36.5 cm c) 40.5 cm from the cast-on edge, bind (cast off) at each edge at the start of every row as follows:

a) 6 stitches 3 times 5 stitches 1 time;

b) 7 stitches 1 time 6 stitches 3 times;

c) 7 stitches 4 times.

Neckline: at 2.5 cm from the start of shoulder shaping, cast off the remaining a) 30 b) 32 c) 34 stitches.

FRONT

With 3.5mm needles cast on a) 76 b) 82 c) 90 stitches. Work in 2x 2 ribbing. When the front measures 4cm from the cast-on edge, continue working in the stockinette stitch.

Neckline: When the front measures a) 29 cm b) 33cm c) 37 cm from the cast-on edge, cast off the central a) 16, b) 18 c) 20 stitches and continue working each side separately, casting off at the beginning of each right side row of the work at the neckline edge as follows: 3 stitches 1 time, 2 stitches 1 time, 1 stitch 2 times.

At the same time:

Shoulder: at a distance of 1.5 cm from the start of the neckline shaping cast off at the left side edge at the start of every wrong side row of the work as follows:

a) 6 stitches 3 times 5 stitches 1 time

b) 7 stitches 1 time 6 stitches 3 times

c) 7 stitches 4 times

Work the other side in the same manner, but reverse the shaping.

SLEEVES

With size 3.5 mm needles cast on a) 44 b) 46 c) 48 stitches. Work in  2x 2 ribbing. When the sleeve measures 4cm from the cast-on edge, continue working in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side), increasing at each edge (=1 stitch in from the edges) as follows:

a)      On every 4th and 6th alternate row: increase 1 stitch at each edge 9 times;

b)      On every 6th row: increase 1 stitch at each edge 10 times;

c)       On every 6th row: increase 1 stitch at each edge 12 times.

You should have a) 62 b) 66 c) 72 stitches on the needles.

When the sleeve measures a) 23cm b) 27 cm c) 31 cm from the cast-on edge, cast off all the stitches. Make another sleeve the same.

Sew the shoulder parts. Pick up stitches along the neckline (you should get the number to do the 2x2 ribbing). Knit 2cm and cast off all the stitches.

Sew the underarm seams. Sew the sleeve seams, and attach sleeves to the body of the sweater. Done.
